Thanks for your very kind comment on my blog today. I read many blogs of people doing way more than I am, but maybe I can be the "in-between" blog. I can't give up being a suburban soccer mom, but I can make better choices. I'll keep checking back and see if we can support each other. I'm really working on food and bills right now, but your idea about making your own cleaners is GREAT! I had my students make their own household cleaners as a service project during our chemistry lesson, and have a great book to recommend: The Naturally Clean Home: 100 Safe and Easy Herbal Formulas for Non-Toxic Cleansers by Karyn Siegel-Maier. They are very easy to do, and I don't add their fragrances, but they work very well. It's on my list of things to do at home, but I haven't really done it yet. I'll keep checking in. Kelly
